Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground

Great place if you're not bringing a camper or taking a fancier hotel. I would label this as 'retro'? Reminded me, pleasantly, of old family cabin. No AC (but don't really need it here) and no TV. Beds were ok (I expected worse, another pleasent surprise), and the quilt was quite warm. Room had a large dorm fridge with small freezer space. Microwave and coffee maker were great to have. The bathroom is small but effective. Hot water was good and lasted. Cell phone service for me was non existing, unless I went to the Brockway mountain lookout or Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. Wifi is basic and open at most places nearby in Copper Harbor. Don't expect to stream shows or anything though. Texting, webbrowsing is best. But again, Copper Harbor is not for sitting around....unless it's a campfire at the end of the day. Staff at checkin was very helpful.

What a splendid little place!!! The 2 bedroom cabin was too stinking cute! It was nice to have coffee and everything in the kitchen. Beds were very comfy! The restaurant and bar were just a stone throw away:) would highly recommend staying here! Great experience!!

We had waited too long to make other reservations. There is zero cell service so we just walked to the desk (in the bar) and needed a room for the night. Beds were soft. Plenty hot shower. Coffee and fridge. There was left over food in the fridge so that was tad gross. It wasn't moldy or anything. Was nice choice. There was a tub tv! Had cable so we didn't mind it at all. The heaters worked realllllllyyy well. So we stayed cozy.

We absolutely adored our stay here! We stayed at the campground and cannot wait to be back. Incredible location to access allllllll the wonderful places!!

my 2 sons and I stayed here for 2 nights on our rock hunting trip. The rooms could of been cleaner but they were good sized. The bathroom was good sized and we liked that there was a microwave in the room. The bar was closed when we stayed and they only served breakfast and lunch in the restaurant until 2. We did manage to get a table for breakfast and it as delicious. It's advertised that there is a hot tub but that was taken out also. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything

We rented a room prior to going to Isle Royale. It was a pleasant stay. We spent several hours in the bar which has a great atmosphere. We ate breakfast at the restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience and we even saw some northern lights.

Great place to stay! Location cannot be beat - center of everything. The staff are amazing! We rented cabin #8 - highly recommend! We traveled as a family of 3 - perfect amount of space. Furnishings are “eclectic”, but very comfy & CLEAN!! It has everything you could need or want. One thing to remember, you are in the far north of the upper peninsula - do not expect reliable internet, Wi-Fi or phone service. This is a reality of visiting this incredibly beautiful area. It’s wonderful to be “disconnected” - embrace it & enjoy!

The Pines is actually now called Lake Effect Bar and Grill. Menu is pretty close to the same but the food was WAY better than when it was the Pines. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also there was outdoor seating.

Great place to camp with kids. Walking distance from plenty of cool things. Great customer service!

Such a great restaurant! Beautiful interior decor and a good location in town that makes it easy to find. The service was amazing, and the good was great. Loved the portion size too. Best bacon I've ever had. I'd definitely go back.
